No animal should suffer in the name of beauty

Animal testing is on the way out! From July 2017, any products that have been tested on animals or contain ingredients that have been tested on animals will be banned from sale in Australia. But in the meantime, there are still many products on our shelves that HAVE been tested on animals. Our Ethical Shopper Action Calendar and newsletter this month focuses on supporting cruelty-free products.

Animal testing rests on the contradiction ‘because animals are like us’ testing is useful, yet ‘because they are not like us’ it is morally okay.

Be inspired to live cruelty-free

image We share the world with other species but often see them as mere commodities - rather than sacred and precious in their own right. In this month's Be Inspired page we look at the ending of animal testing in cosmetics in Australia and showcase some people instrumental in standing up for animal rights.
