WOC Committee Position Descriptions

The WOC Committee meets as is required by the business of the Collective. In 2008, this was approx every 6 weeks.

PRESIDENT
leadership and oversight of WOC
leadership and oversight of WOC Committee
chair Annual General Meeting
receive all general enquiries (address and phone number on WOC letterhead)
signatory to WOC bank account
ensure Public Officer has submitted annual incorporation documents to Consumer Affairs

VICE-PRESIDENT
as for President when President is absent
other tasks as required by WOC Committee*

SECRETARY
Manage membership database
Manage waiting list
New membership info pack (update brochures annually)
Quarterly roster and mailout
Distribution of WOC brochures
Organise AGM and take minutes at AGM (send official notice out 21 days before date of AGM)
Organise annual membership renewal forms, collect annual membership fees and pass on to Treasurer
take minutes at Committee meetings
hold WOC records
Manage WOC egroup
signatory to WOC bank account

TREASURER
Keep financial records: receipts, bank statements, cheque & deposit books
Collect incoming receipts from Accounts Officer
Collect cash from Accounts Officer and deposit at Bank
provide annual financial reports to Annual General Meeting
Provide address for all financial correspondence (Bendigo Bank, Pure Bread Bakery, Melbourne Wholesale Market)
make regular payments to Pure Bread Bakery, annually to Consumer Affairs, and annually for Market Buyer’s Passes.
supervision of WOC bank account, and presenting a statement of account to WOC committee meetings.
signatory to WOC bank account

ORDINARY MEMBER: ACCOUNTS OFFICER
receive order forms and money (by Tuesday night)
input into spreadsheet
ring through bread order (Wednesday am)
print out ‘orders sheet’ and ‘receipts’ for week (Thursday night)
cut and fold receipts
place receipts, money and order sheet in orange folder, ready for collection
forward bread receipts and others, and excess cash, to Treasurer regularly
communications with market buyers
