Workshops & Supermarket Tours

Shopping with a Conscience

'Shopping with a Conscience' workshops, supermarket tours, and presentations serve as an introduction to sustainable and ethical purchasing practices for the everyday consumer.

  • What are the issues that reflect the true cost of the products we buy?
  • What are "best buys" for our health, our communities and our planet?
  • How can you find the most sustainable purchase amongst the options available?

Join us to find out more about the products, companies and related issues that are part of your weekly supermarket shopping adventures. We'll explore practical ways to help you in making more ethical choices and lighten your impact. Time to share questions, experiences, and to feast on some positive alternatives.

See upcoming events and register.

1. Presentation of issues and principles
2. Supermarket shop – trip to local store to put theories into action
3. Return to venue for light meal from purchases, sharing, feedback

The August 26th workshop will not run due to insufficient numbers. The next session will be on October 28th. (The workshop will run if we have sufficient numbers - minimum of 5 participants). To register for this workshop, and see details on times and locations for other events.
