Bangladeshi garment workers crisis

In December, thousands of Bangladeshi garment industry workers held walk outs for better pay. Security forces and factory owners engaged in a brutal crack-down of the strikes, with over 1,600 workers being fired. Police filed cases against 600 workers and trade union leaders.
