Update. April 2010

Join us for 'a meal & a movie'!

Over the next two months we'll be taking a look at the industrialised nature of our food system and exploring the relationship between food production and human health, workers’ rights, animal welfare, and corporate control. Come along to the full movie screening of Food Inc., or our second interactive session, or both.

Latest Greenpeace campaigns ...

Canned Tuna. It's the biggest selling seafood item in Australia. As supermarkets sell more and more of this profitable product, tuna stocks are in a critical condition. Supermarkets play a key role in the overfishing crisis by selling us overfished tuna. It's time they take responsibility. Have your say and check out a better buy at Greenpeace's Canned Tuna guide .

Kit-Kat. Nestlé, the world's largest food and drink company, uses palm oil from destroyed Indonesian rainforests in making some of it's famous chocolate bars. As a result, threatened species like orang-utans are being pushed into extinction and huge quantities of greenhouse gas are being released, accelerating climate change.
